Paris Saint-Germain forward Ousmane Dembélé has been crowned the winner of the 2025 Ballon d’Or.
The France international clinched the prestigious award at the ceremony held on Monday night at the Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris, finishing ahead of Barcelona’s teenage sensation Lamine Yamal, Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah, and other top contenders.
Dembélé played a pivotal role in PSG’s historic season, where the club lifted its first-ever UEFA Champions League trophy in May. He contributed 51 goal involvements in 59 matches, which also earned him the Ligue 1 Golden Boot, Ligue 1 Player of the Season, and the Champions League Player of the Season awards.
Beyond Europe, Dembélé helped PSG secure a domestic treble — winning Ligue 1, the Coupe de France, and the French Super Cup — sealing an unforgettable campaign for the Paris giants.
The Ballon d’Or gala remains football’s most glamorous individual award ceremony, celebrating the standout performers of the season. Last year, Manchester City’s Rodri won the men’s prize, while Barcelona and Spain’s Aitana Bonmatí claimed the women’s award for the second year in a row.
