All is now set for the Annual General Meeting (AGM) and elections of the Nigeria Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), Bayelsa State Chapter, to elect new Executive Officers who will steer the affairs of the Chapter.
According to a statement jointly signed by the Chairman of the Election Committee, SP Gunn Ewhoborwo Emonena, and the Secretary, Okpobodisere Vivian Deiseidei-Oputu, the event will take place at Ayabowei Plaza in Yenagoa on Friday April 10, 2026. Members are expected to be seated by 10:00 a.m. prompt.
The Committee called on all duly registered members in Bayelsa State to attend, stressing that the elections are vital for ensuring continuity, promoting good governance, and strengthening effective representation of members’ interests.
It also urged members to strictly adhere to the guidelines governing the electoral process, noting that the outcome will determine the leadership direction of the Chapter for the next term.
Members are further encouraged to participate actively, vote responsibly, and support the Institute’s democratic process.
The AGM and elections are expected to bring together public relations professionals across the state, fostering unity and reinforcing commitment to professional excellence within the Chapter.
