NCDMB Confirms Dec. 2026 Target for Radisson Hotel Yenagoa

The Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) has expressed confidence that the Radisson Hotel and Conference Centre in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State, will be completed and commissioned by December 2026.

According to a statement on the Board’s official Facebook page, the Executive Secretary, Engr. Felix Omatsola Ogbe, made the assurance while hosting top executives of South Africa’s Edison Corporation and Megastar Technical and Construction Company at the conclusion of a one-day project management tour and workshop at the Nigerian Content Tower in Yenagoa.

The five-star hospitality project is a top priority for the NCDMB, and its completion is expected to significantly boost tourism, attract investors, and enhance economic activities in Bayelsa State and the Niger Delta region. Since taking office in December 2024, Engr. Ogbe has committed to closely monitoring the project to ensure it stays on schedule.

The Board commended Edison Corporation and the contractors for the quality and pace of work, noting that critical aspects such as project financing, contracting strategies, and scope of work have been resolved, ensuring steady progress. The project is managed in partnership with Radisson Hotels Group, which is expected to provide world-class hospitality services.

Edison Corporation, led by the Executive Chairman, Mr. Vivian Reddy, emphasized the strategic importance of the project, highlighting that it will put Yenagoa on the global map and attract international visitors. The partnership with Radisson Hotels Group took over a year and a half of negotiations and thousands of pages of documentation, demonstrating strong confidence in the project and the region.

The Radisson Hotel and Conference Centre is designed to meet global five-star standards and is expected to serve as a hub for conferences, investor engagements, and high-level business meetings. Its completion is anticipated to create significant economic opportunities, improve tourism, and position Bayelsa State as a key destination for hospitality and business in the Niger Delta.
