HRH MOSES THEOPHILUS BAGS DOUBLE NOMINATION AT BMNA

The Traditional Ruler of Moko-Ama in Sangana, Akassa Kingdom, His Royal Highness King Moses Theophilus, has been nominated for two categories, Man of the Year and Peace Advocate of the Year at the 2025 Bayelsa Media Network Awards (BMNA) in recognition of his contributions to community development and peace in Bayelsa State and Nigeria.

Receiving the nomination letter at his palace, the monarch expressed gratitude to God and BMNA for recognising his contributions to his people and humanity.

King Theophilus, coronated in 2016 as Kenibara VII of Moko-Ama, currently serves as Chairman of the Akassa Council of Chiefs. He previously served as Treasurer of the Ijaw National Congress (INC) Central Zone and has since contested for and won the chairmanship of the INC Central Zone. He also has a background in unionism, having served as an executive member of the Rivers State Nigerian Labour Congress during Adams Oshiomhole’s tenure.

Presenting the nomination letter, BMNA Project Manager Blessing Mathew Ozegbe described King Theophilus as a man of honour, integrity and discipline whose quiet contributions have helped sustain peace and development in his domain and across Bayelsa State.

The Bayelsa Media Network Awards ceremony is scheduled for December 26, 2025, at the NUJ Secretariat in Yenagoa.
